I am so happy to finally bring back the waste free lunch bag. It is fun to make with the center divider and great for packing lunch. Both the girls wanted this style for the new school year coming up! That must be good news, right?
The pattern includes 34 pictures that are bright and clear (old version had 4 pictures!) and it is 13 pages long. There are no pattern pieces to print out since it is just rectangles, but there is a quick reference guide on the last page to help keep your fabric cutting in good order.
It is roomier than my Love Your Lunch Box pattern but not quite as roomy as the Hobo Style Lunch Sak. I am going to get smaller water bottles this year to free up some space for sure! The girls only drink a little. Any good recommendations for 8 or 10 ounce water bottles? 16 ounce is just too big for little girls!
I also changed the closure to a flap to create more room and because flaps are just cute, right? The pattern is now available in the shop if you are ready to make one (or 5 like I did!).
lifefactory.com. NO PLASTICS! They are made of glass and silicone. My 18mo and my 4yo love them. They come in fun colors, and have been dropped and dropped and no breakage! fantastic!

I got a cute set of WaterWeek bottles for my daughter's lunches . . . they are the perfect size and BPA free. :) http://pinterest.com/pin/42080577738967771/

Sigg has some kid water bottle sizes. http://www.mysigg.com/category/kids- very sturdy, and they last until we lose them ;)
The .3 liter is about 10 oz and that is what my 6 year old uses for school lunch. They also have a .4 liter (13 oz) size that we will upgrade to shortly. I really like their handles for little kids ( http://www.mysigg.com/product/11201 ) and the caps are easy to open and close.

My kids love their Nalgene bottles, they have some cute ones too. If they like to cold drinks, Thermos has some fun ones that are pretty narrow and keeps the drinks cold. Those turned out super cute!

Good for you! This is one of the first thing I have ever sewn successfully and still one of my favorite pattern. I actually had the same idea as you and have made some with the same new closure. :)
