I don't know why I can't just hunker down and make a bunch of things from my patterns just the way they are originally supposed to be made. Seriously, I have to change it up every time. This must be why I only do this one show. This making a whole bunch of the same thing drives me crazy!
These are from my Lucky Elephant pattern. I reduced the size to 65% (just like the owl purses!) and added a ribbon or rick rack loop tail. I omitted the boxed feet. I used the all cotton fusible interfacing and stuffed them my clearance bamboo filling that I found at Joanns. I thought about stuffing a rattle in there too, but decided it might limit who would buy them. Won't they make sweet baby gifts? Can't you imagine little pudgy hands dragging them around? Now they are baby safe without the button eye too.
You know I am going to be reducing the Katie Bird pattern next, right??!!
These are the cutest little thing!!!

Sewing lots of the same thing is definitely tough but seeing a big pile of these adorable elephants afterwards would make it worth it! So cute.

I was just telling my husband yesturday that it feels like punishment for me to have to sew the same thing over and over! I have been working on a project for what seems like forever of 16 like items and it has gotten to be painful. Love your new version of Lucky and you're right he would totally be cute in baby hands with or without a rattle (being a parent I would probably prefer without).
