Thrifting Treasures

This spring I decided to start cleaning out some of my hoarded thrift store & vintage fabric treasures that I couldn't figure out to use. I had success over in my Gingercake shop so I found myself heading back to the thrift store and to estate sales to add more to my pile!!

Here are some pics of my favorite finds. Some are gone to other vintage lovers (mostly in California for some weird reason) and some are still in the shop.

I found your blog when I was looking for nightgown tutorials. The idea of upcycling old pillowcases and sheets appealed to my thrifty/hoarders soul. My grandmother had the sheet set shown in the fourth picture. Imagine my surprise when I came across the exact same sheet at our local Goodwill! I can't wait to turn it into a pair of pyjamas for our Wub. Thank you so much for the wonderful tutorial and inspirations.

Pillowcase Nightgowns & Free Tutorial We spend many summer time mornings staying in our PJs until lunch. Folios in the Works Last November I was freaking out trying to get ready for the Handmade Arcade. I had such a great time at the show last year and the only negative was that I felt all rushed and sloppy since I waited until the last minute to do a lot of my sewing.
