Today is our last day living here at Grandma Betty's house. She is my husband's 88 year old grandma. I am so excited about having my own house again but these past 19 months have been an adventure. Many ups and downs! I am so grateful for her hospitality and I learned so much about living, aging, patience, humility, and how you really can live in 2 rooms with a husband and 3 kids without killing each other. It was perfect farm living- seeing all the beauty of the farm without having to do any farm work!!!! Here are some pictures and memories of our time here...
Lazing and playing on the front porch swing
Running around the big lawn with the most beautiful view in all directions
A perfect home for a boy who loves tractors
And chillin by the awesome fireplace
Now for the winner of my little contest! I asked my middle child who is obsessed with counting which number she liked best 1, 2, 3, or 4. She said 4 because that's how old she is and that is how many pengiuns she has (the girl luvs stuffed animal penguins) in her bed. SO commenter Katie will get the dress. Very scientific selecting. I liked doing it though so maybe once I get settled in the new house we'll try again. thanks so much for your comments ladies!!
I happened on this site a few mnutes ago. My granddaughter has Kit and her friend. Anyone who sews is so fournate to be able to sew clothes for these dolls. I do like the books that go with the dolls.
My son smiled when I told my granddaughter how lucky she was that the dolls were the same size so they could wear each others clothes.
Grandma was just trying to help!
what a nice thing for you to do.
