On November 3rd I had the kids pose in their Halloween costumes. Poor Elsie (Mary here) missed trick or treating & her kindergarten Halloween party b/c of a fever and sore throat. But yesterday everyone was feeling good and ready for some pictures in their costumes. I asked the girls what they wanted be and we got the regular princess and fairy answer. I love princesses and fairies BUT since I wanted to do something cute I asked if they had a particular fairytale or nursery rhyme that we could do. Elsie said Mary and her little lamb ( not little bo peep because she didn't want to be something with peep in her name! not sure why but that's the answer I got). The girls choose Curious George for Cal.
The girls costumes turned out really cute- the bonnet was my big success I thought. So easy! I just took apart an amish play bonnet someone had given us to figure out how to do it. The George costume is a semi success. Ears way too big and too low. White velcro was a mistake too but when you are finishing thing seconds before trick or treat time you just want to get the kids out the door. But the fit was really nice so at least I had that right! And how can that little man not look cute! No patterns used here of course! Hard to take the time to follow a pattern at the last minute. HAHA!
Happy Halloween a little late!!
Can someone please recommend a tour company for my wife and I to see the Gorillas in the Conga?
Its a life long dream to trek the jungle and take photos and see the gorillas in the wild. Looking for a physical challenge, but need a reputable tour company. Please recommend if you can! Thanks guys.
