Our days are filled with soccer games, laundry, home improvement, meals, arguments between siblings (and a few arguments between adults about how to handle those arguments), leaf piles, and bike rides. Lots of bike rides with my boy on this trail above. I walk (waddle) behind while he dashes ahead. He comes back to me joyously and then forges ahead again. This is our path together.
I am certainly not prepared for a baby coming in four weeks. The crib is not set up and I have undecided plans of where to put it. I have not made cutesy baby bunting to hang on the wall and I have no stack of freshly laundered baby sleepers and blankets waiting for her arrival. I realize she is not going wait for me to catch up. She is on her path too and she will come when she comes. I am relying on my previous experience that I deliver babies late and that I will have time. TIME! I just need more time...

Love this Virginia...I also like the path metaphor. Thinking of you in what I'm sure is a crazy, beautiful time.

Gorgeous photo! Babies actually need very little and I'm sure yours will be well blessed with more than material things! Enjoy (if possible) these last few weeks.

I'm sure you're more ready than you feel...a loving family is what a baby needs the most anyways :) But I'll be in the same boat in a couple of months so I understand how you feel.
