Over the weekend we had lots of this...
But this morning we had this...
First grade and thrid grade here we come! My tears only lasted a few minutes. I have been looking forward to the peace and getting back to an easier routine but I still feel sad every year. I just hate watching them get on the bus and leave! What about you? Do you wave goodbye happily or have a little boo hooing like me?

Such cuties - hope they have a great school year.

I've been fighting the tears off and watching the clock until it's time for me to pick up my Kindergartner. :-) I should be working on my Lola owls though.

I was teary seeing them off - but only for the first couple of minutes on the first few days of school :D When they were both in school full-time (grades 1 & 2) the tears disappeared completely as I realized that this old stay-at-home mom was about to start getting a really nice break during the day, LOL! Now they're strapping electricians and head off in their own vehicles, before 6:00 a.m., to their jobs on construction sites. They pack their own lunches, pay their own bills, and are both moving out in the next year or two. Those days of heading off to school on their own, are just the beginning of a wonderful journey - there's much excitement ahead for them and for you! (And *that* makes me sniff! LOL!)

Tomorrow is the day for us! I am looking forward to getting back to my routine but not getting out of bed at 6 on those wintry mornings :)
Very cute pictures as always!! XOXO
